We are seeking a full-time Baker to join our fantastic Bakery team. If you are a strong communicator who enjoys working in a busy team environment and has a passion for producing high-quality bakery products, this could be the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce a wide range of baked goods to consistently high standards
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
• Meet production schedules through effective time management
• Provide encouragement and support to Apprentice Bakers
• Maintain exceptional standards and deliver the great customer service New World is renowned for

What you’ll bring:

• Trade qualification or proven experience as a baker
• A genuine passion for quality-focused production
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• A positive, reliable, can-do attitude
• Flexibility to work additional or extended hours when required, particularly during peak trading periods
• A team player who can also work independently when required

While a qualified or experienced baker is preferred, we also welcome applications from those with some bakery experience, as full training can be provided for the right candidate.

For the right candidate who demonstrates commitment and capability, there may be an opportunity to undertake an apprenticeship.

Hours:

This is a permanent role, 40 hours per week, working Tuesday to Saturday. Early starts are essential (exact hours to be discussed at interview).  Additional hours may be available if willing to cover staff absences and/or seasonal busy periods.
