Storeroom Supervisor – New World Wanaka

An exciting opportunity now exists within our Supermarket operation for a full-time Storeroom Supervisor. 

New World Wanaka is 100% locally owned and located just a hop, skip and jump from Wanaka’s Lake edge right in the middle of town.  We are seeking an individual who is passionate about people leadership and who thrives working in a fast-paced environment.   

The Role - As a Storeroom Supervisor you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring our stockroom runs efficiently and that all inwards goods and stock is processed accurately and on time. Working alongside the Grocery Managers, you’ll assist in the day-to-day operations of the department. 

• Ensuring stock is efficiently unloaded, while ensuring Health & Safety standards are met 
• Breaking down pallets and marking off stock appropriately 
• Putting away or restacking as needed and ensure departments are aware of deliveries 
• Adhering to the Food Safety Plan and ensuring that all standards are met 
• Making sure discrepancies are accounted for and dealt with appropriately 
• Maintaining Health & Safety Requirements in the Storeroom 
• Maintaining security of the Inwards Goods and rear store/yard area 
• Ensuring the Inwards Goods and rear store/yard are kept clean and tidy 
• Ensuring Forklifts and equipment pre-start checks and general condition is maintained and issues are reported 

What we’re looking for – 

• Current forklift (F endorsement advantageous). 
• Previous storeroom experience within a supermarket/FMCG environment. 
• Ability to work at pace and prioritise workload. 
• Physically fit and able to lift 20kg+ 
• A team player with strong leadership skills. 
• SAP experience desirable and computer literate. 
• Be committed to health & safety and respectful of our policies. 

This is a permanent full-time position, reporting to the Store Manager. 

Remuneration will be between $28.00 and $32.00 per hour with a guaranteed minimum of 37.5 hours per week.  You will need to be available over weekends.
