Duty Manager – New World Wanaka

We are looking for a skilled leader and team player who enjoys a busy environment to join us as a Duty Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and organise the day-to-day operation of the retail floor and team
- Maintain high standards of merchandising and presentation, with strong attention to detail
- Manage product mix to provide the best range for customers
- Oversee the sale of liquor and tobacco
- Maintain Health & Safety and Food Safety standards
- Manage stock levels based on trade patterns
- Perform overall store duty management as rostered
About You – The Successful Applicant Will Have
- At least 2 years’ experience in a supermarket
- A Manager’s Certificate (liquor licence) or ability to obtain one
- Strong customer service skills
- Good time management and communication skills
- Confident in leading and supporting a team
- Sound problem solving and decision-making ability
- Experience with SAP or similar systems
- A quick learner with a positive attitude
- A Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain one
- Experience working in a fresh food department

This is a permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week), with shifts running from 1.30pm to 10.00pm.
