BAKER POSITION – New World Wanaka

Do you love the smell of freshly baked bread in the early morning? We’re on the lookout for a reliable and passionate Baker to join our Bakery team at New World Wanaka.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with dough, mastering the oven, and being part of the magic that happens before the store doors open. If you’re an early riser who takes pride in creating top-quality baked goods, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Dough making: Prepare and bake a variety of breads and rolls to perfection, ensuring our shelves are stocked with fresh, delicious products.
• Donut making and other sweet treats
• Quality & consistency: Maintain high standards in every batch, from mixing to baking to cooling.
• Team collaboration: Work closely with the bakery team to meet production targets and support a positive, productive environment.

About You:

• A minimum of two years’ experience as a Baker required
• Early bird:  Start bright and early at 1:00 AM to get ahead of the day and keep our bakery running smoothly.
• Reliable & detail-oriented: You take pride in your work and understand the importance of consistency and timing in baking.
• Team player: You enjoy working with others and contributing to a supportive, fun team culture.
• Passionate about bread: You love the craft of baking and want to be part of a team that values quality and care.

Remuneration for this role is $26.00 to $30.00 per hour dependant on experience and with a minimum of 30 hours per week.  This role will be reporting to our Bakery Manager.
