Duty Manager 

 

Due to internal progression, we’ve got an exciting opportunity for someone ready to level up their supermarket game and step into a pivotal leadership role!

 

As our Duty Manager: 

 

You’ll be the go‑to leader during afternoons and evenings, keeping the store running smoothly, supporting each department, and ensuring our customers enjoy an exceptional shopping experience every time they walk through the door.

 

No two days will ever look the same. You’ll be hands-on, leading from the front, tackling challenges as they arise, and making sure the team stays organised, and focused on what matters most. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Leading and motivating the team
  • Prioritising workloads to ensure key fills and tasks are completed
  • Assisting customers with enquiries
  • Managing staff and staffing levels
  • Overseeing store security
  • Maintaining high standards of store presentation

 

You’ll shine in this role if you’re:

 

  • A confident people leader with experience managing a large team
  • An excellent communicator able to influence across all levels
  • Detail‑focused with high standards, integrity, and initiative
  • A natural problem-solver who takes action and drives solutions
  • Experienced in a warehouse/inwards goods setting
  • Holder of (or willing to obtain) a forklift licence
  • Passionate about Health & Safety and Food Safety
  • Comfortable in a physical role involving standing and repetitive lifting
  • Willing and able to obtain a Manager’s Certificate
  • Bonus points if you have buying experience or SAP knowledge!

 

This is a full-time position with the following roster:

 

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 10:30am – 9:30pm
