Fresh Foods Assistant

Fresh Foods Assistant – Full Time (45 Hours) 

We are looking for a fulltime Fresh Food assistant to help out in our various fresh foods department.

We seek a person with a passion for cooking and fresh food, who has an eye for detail and is self-motivated and can help present our store to a very high standard. 

Experience is preferred but not essential as on the job training is provided.

The position is full time with most duties taking place within the Food to Go department and where needed in the Bakery and Seafood departments. Your days in each department would be communicated on a monthly roster. 

Hours/Days to be discussed at the interview stage however weekend work is required. 

Hourly Wage is determined by experience but ranges from $25 -$34 per hour and can be discussed at the interview stage.

Responsibilities include;

• Preparing Hot and cold items for our Food to Go cabinets in accordance with Foodstuffs guidelines daily
• Preparing cold seafood items in accordance with Foodstuffs guidelines daily.
• Merchandising fresh produces items for sale. 
• Packing, labelling and displaying items. 
• Working to a strict Food control plan including maintenance of traceability and temperature records 
• Working to strict health and safety plan
• Cleaning of department.

As a Fresh Food Assistant you will work closely with the Food to Go Manager, Bakery Manager, Butchery manager and Produce Manager with the day to day running of the specified department. 

A person who is self-motivated, has a desire to maintain a high standard of service, has a great attitude and wants to live and work in paradise will excel in this position.
