Baker – Full Time (45 Hours) 

 

We are looking for a fulltime Baker to help out in our fresh foods department.

 

We seek a person with a passion for baking and fresh food, who has an eye for detail, is self-motivated and can help present our store to a very high standard. 

 

Qualifications/skills required:

 

Essential

 

  • A minimum of three years industry experience in a bakery or kitchen
  • Bakery Trade Qualification, or Food industry specific Qualification

 

Preferred

 

  • NZ Food Hygiene Qualifications (NZQA Unit Standards 167 and 168)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Time Management skills
  • High Level of initiative and commitment

 

Hours/Days to be discussed at the interview stage however weekend work is required. 

 

Hourly Wage is determined by experience but ranges from $25 -$34 per hour and can be discussed at the interview stage.

 

Responsibilities include;

 

  • Preparation and Presentation of Bakery and Fresh Food Products
  • Shop presentation, stock movement and prevent wastage through product rotation
  • Ticketing and pricing of products
  • Assist with department stocktake
  • Recipe Development
  • High level of Customer Service through keeping up to date with product knowledge, promotional information and ensuring that accurate advice is provided to customers
  • Ensure departmental compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedure

 

As our Baker you will work closely with the Food to Go Manager and Bakery Manager with the day to day running of the specified department. 

 

A person who is self-motivated, has a desire to maintain a high standard of service, has a great attitude and wants to live and work in paradise will excel in this position.
