New World Timaru is more than just a supermarket. As a locally owned, family-run business, we’re a hub for the community, with a strong focus on supporting both our team and customers. Working 40 hours a week, the exact days and hours are negotiable for the successful candidate, however, will include one weekend day and early mornings. You’ll have set days & hours to provide stability and reliability to your week.

Applications are welcome from candidates with a trade qualification and/or previous experience working as a baker.

The successful applicant will also need to have the desire to excel, the ability to use their initiative, and the drive and enthusiasm for the position. Reporting to the Bakery Manager you will be responsible for helping to ensure the department runs smoothly and all appropriate targets are met or exceeded.
