We’re looking for a Qualified Butcher to join our busy and dynamic Butchery Team at PAK’nSAVE Rolleston. This is a hands-on role where you’ll use your trade skills and expertise to produce, present, and maintain a wide range of top-quality meat products for our customers. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the butchery operates efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards every day.
This is a full-time position, with rostered hours to be discussed with the successful applicant.
What the role involves:
• Cutting, trimming, and preparing a variety of meat products to specification
• Ensuring all meat displays are presented to a high standard
• Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
• Managing stock rotation, ordering, and assisting with stock control
• Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service
• Working collaboratively as part of a skilled and motivated team
What we're looking for:
• Trade qualification in butchery (essential)
• Proven experience as a qualified butcher in a retail or supermarket environment
• Strong knife skills and in-depth knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques
• A commitment to maintaining product quality, consistency, and safety
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with a pzositive attitude
• Physically fit and able to handle manual work safely
• Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including weekends if required
