About the role:
PAK’nSAVE Rolleston | Full-Time Roles | Early Starts & Weekend Shift Included
We’re looking for reliable, skilled, and hard‑working people to join our busy Bakery Department. We have two full‑time opportunities available: Bakery Assistant Manager and Baker. These roles are key to delivering high‑quality products and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations within the bakery.
Both positions are full-time, and include one weekend shift. Start times vary and may include early morning shifts.
What you’ll be doing:
Bakery Assistant Manager:
- Assisting the Bakery Manager with daily department operations
- Supporting, guiding, and developing the bakery team
- Helping manage production planning, ordering, and stock levels
- Ensuring food safety, compliance, and excellent product standards
- Stepping into leadership responsibilities when required
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient work environment
Baker:
- Producing a range of bakery items to a high and consistent standard
- Mixing, shaping, baking, and finishing products
- Following food safety, hygiene, and production guidelines
- Ensuring quality and presentation expectations are met
- Contributing to an organised and efficient bakery operation
What we’re looking for:
- NZQA Bakery qualification or similar is required
- Previous supermarket bakery experience is an advantage
- For the Assistant Manager role: experience leading or supervising a bakery team is highly advantageous
- A positive, reliable, and hands‑on attitude
- Physically fit and comfortable with early starts
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Availability for one weekend shift
- Specific days and hours will be discussed at interview
