We are seeking an Assistant Dry Goods Manager to work alongside our Dry Goods Manager in delivering an exceptional range of high-quality dry goods products to the North Canterbury community — at competitive prices and with outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Dry Goods Manager with the day-to-day operations and smooth running of the Dry Goods Morning Fill, Night Fill, Chilled Foods, Inwards Goods, General Merchandise (GM), and Liquor departments.
- Support effective management of department operations to ensure optimal product range, availability, and presentation.
- Ensure department standards, compliance, and visual presentation are consistently maintained.
- Oversee inventory management processes and liaise with the Inventory Manager to ensure smooth operations
- Liaise and build strong relationships with suppliers, sales representatives, and merchandisers.
- Support budget management and financial reporting.
- Deliver excellent customer service and foster a results-focused, high-performance culture.
Skills, Experience & Attributes

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.
- Proficient in financial calculations and budget management.
- Computer literate (SAP experience advantageous).
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining standards.

This is a full-time position (Tuesday–Saturday, 45 hours per week), with some flexibility for additional hours when required. Exact hours will be discussed at the interview stage.
