About the Role:

New World Gardens is looking for someone with proven Duty Manager experience or someone who is looking to further their career.  If you have strong leadership and communication skills, great time management and can lead by example by rolling your sleeves up and assisting where required, this could be the job for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• In the absence of senior management, be able to take control of the operational requirements of the supermarket
• Manage and oversee New World Gardens daily staffing requirements in collaboration with the Department Managers & 2IC’s
• Lead by example to provide exceptional customer service and assist with inquiries
• Ensure Food Safety and Health & Safety policies and procedures are complied with

What You’ll Bring to New World Gardens:

• Minimum 2 years' experience working in a management or supervisory role in a supermarket or retail environment
• Awesome customer service and be able to assist our customers wherever required
• Proven ability to oversee staffing, shop standards and store closing processes in the absence of senior management
• Solid computer skills including the ability to use spreadsheets

Days and hours of work will be discussed during the interview process but may be tailored to suit individual situations like part- or full-time hours but would include rostered shifts on Friday and Saturday evenings.
