Bakery Manager - New World Wanaka

New World Wanaka is set in the beautiful Central Otago town of Wanaka, close to world class ski fields and located just walking distance from the lake edge. 

We are looking for a Bakery Manager to join our diverse and motivated team in a permanent capacity here at New World Wanaka. Fast paced and rewarding, work where you will have fun whilst applying your Food Trade Qualification and/or proven management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the bakery team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Ensure the highest standards of product quality and presentation.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing waste.
• Develop and implement new bakery products and promotions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle customer inquiries and complaints.
• Monitor sales and profitability, and work towards achieving department targets.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a bakery management role or similar.
• Leadership capability you can demonstrate to lead, inspire, and develop our team.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Days/hours of work:

• Tuesday to Saturday
• 5.00am-1.30pm
