Butchery Assistant / Apprentice

Are you looking to kickstart a hands-on career in the Butchery?  New World Waitaki is offering a rare opportunity for the right & motivated person to becoming an Apprentice in 2026.  You will be supported every step of the way with training, mentoring, all with the chance to earn while you learn.

No experience required, just the right attitude, commitment and willingness to learn new skills.

The successful applicant will be:

• Able to cope with early starts
• Have a positive, can-do attitude
• Passionate to become a Butcher
• Be honest and reliable
• Work well under pressure and at a fast pace
• Have excellent customer service skills
• Comply with our Health & Safety and Food Safety programmes.

This is a permanent, full-time position - 40 hours including one day of the weekend.
