Store Manager
New World Nelson City are seeking someone to take the senior leadership position in our team as Store Manager. NW Nelson City is a well established supermarket in the heart of Nelson, with a dedicated team working hard to provide our customers with high quality products and excellent customer service.
As Store Manager, you’ll work closely with our Owner Operator to plan and oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring we meet the highest possible standards across every department, from customer service to financial performance. You’ll lead by example, drive results, and inspire your team to be their best every day.
What we’re looking for:
- A proven track record in supermarket or retail leadership (5+ years in management preferred)
- Strong people leadership skills, confident, empathetic, and performance-driven
- Excellent communication, planning, and organisational abilities
- Good understanding of budgets, costs, sales performance and ability to analyse and respond to sales and cost trends
- Ability to problem solve and adapt to challenges
- A passion for customer service and community engagement

Hours:
This is a 40-45hrs per week role. Exact days/hours of work are negotiable however, will include a minimum of two weekend shifts a month and additional hours may be required over peak trading times.
