About the Role:
We’re looking for a motivated and driven Fresh Foods / Duty Manager to help lead our fresh departments and support the day-to-day running of the store.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll learn all aspects of supermarket operations from Fresh Foods departments, and store merchandising to team leadership and financial management and performance of a supermarket.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in retail / FMCG is a bonus — but attitude is everything!
- A natural leader (or ready to become one)
- Strong work ethic with a drive to grow and learn
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities
- Passion for quality fresh food, and great customer service
- Eligible for obtaining a Manager’s Certificate (we’ll support you to get it)
- A fun personality with can do attitude

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading day-to-day operations of fresh departments and the store
- Driving quality, presentation, availability and profitability
- Managing stock levels, ordering, and waste control
- Supporting store performance and financial targets
- Managing the Food Control Plan and all Food Safety requirements
- Ensuring Health & Safety standards are met across the store
- Acting as Duty Manager and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
Working Days:
- Sunday to Tuesday and Friday
- Sunday & Monday: late shifts finishing around 7:30pm, with flexible start times
- Tuesday & Friday: early shifts starting from 7:00am, with flexible finish times
- Opportunity to pick up additional shifts from time to time, based on store needs and your availability
- Exact hours and remuneration to be discussed at interview
