Checkout 3IC - New World Mosgiel
Full time: 32 – 40 hours
Come and join our team!
We are looking for a friendly person with excellent customer service skills and proven leadership experience to join and help to lead our busy checkout team full time as a Checkout 3IC.
The days of work for this role will be Tuesday – Saturday from 32 – 40 hours per week.
Hours will be discussed at the interview stage and will include evenings until 9.15pm.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Delivering outstanding customer service and resolving customer issues
- Working with the Checkout Managers and other Supervisors to lead the Checkout team including providing feedback, coaching, and training
- Working with the Checkout Manager and Assistant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Checkout department
- Doing varying tasks which may include checkout operating, packing, managing Self-Checkout lanes, cleaning and trolleys
- Being in sole charge of the Checkout department and being responsible for opening and closing the Checkout department as required
What we need from you:
- At least 1-year experience in a customer service role in a position with responsibility or a Supervisory role
- A commitment to excellent customer service
- Great communication, leadership, and team-building skills
- Flexibility to pick up extra shifts and do extra hours
- A positive approach to your day
- Fantastic organisation and resilience
- Good personal presentation
- A current off-licence Manager’s Certificate and an LCQ qualification is preferred
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but full training can be provided to the right person.
