This is a predominately labouring and merchandising based role and is a great first step for someone hardworking with a keen eye for detail who is interested in learning more about the butchery trade and wanting to take their first step into the industry.
Hours of Work:
Position 1
- Sunday 7:00am – 4:00pm
- Monday 12:00pm – 5:00pm
- Tuesday 11:00am – 4:00pm
- 18.5 hours per week
Position 2
- Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm
- Saturday 7:00am – 5:00pm
- 18 hours per week
Position 3
- Full-time Sunday – Thursday, 40 hours per week, hours to be discussed at the interview stage but will include early morning starts of 5:00am and 6:00am.
Position 1 and 2 can be combined into one full-time role if desired.
Main duties include:
- Merchandising the butchery and seafood cabinets
- Packaging butchery and seafood products
- Crumbing and marinading butchery products
- Assisting with customer queries
- Date checking and rotating stock
- Stacking away products as they come in – repetitive lifting of up to 25kg on a regular basis so good physical fitness is required
- Cleaning and helping out with odd jobs in the department
