About the Role:

We’re looking for someone who wants to step into a role with real scope. While Duty Manager responsibilities are part of the job, this position goes well beyond that. You’ll be hands-on across all areas of the store, including time on checkout, supporting the day to day running of the operation, and helping keep the store clean, well stocked and running smoothly.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, supporting and guiding the team to deliver excellent customer service and maintain a well presented store.
  • Working across checkout, customer service, filling and general store operations as needed.
  • Managing day to day store activity, ensuring standards are met and issues are resolved quickly.
  • Handling operational tasks such as Inwards Goods, food safety, food preparation and stock rotation.
  • Completing date checks, promotions and markdowns.

This role is Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, but full time hours may be available for the right person.

What we are looking for:

You’ll bring confidence, leadership and a genuine commitment to great customer service. We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Proven leadership experience in a fast paced customer service environment.
  • A willingness to work across all parts of the store - from checkout to filling to general operations.
  • Strong organisational skills and high standards for store presentation.
  • A Duty Manager’s Certificate or LCQ (or an interest in gaining these - we can support the right candidate.
  • Experience with Lotto or supermarket point of sale systems (helpful but not required).
  • Excellent communication skills, a calm approach and the ability to handle challenging situations.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to multitask while keeping customer experience front and centre.
