Evening Forklift Storeperson - PAK'nSAVE Invercargill

Part or Full-time: 

• Sunday & Monday from 7pm
• Tuesday–Thursday from 8pm
• (Finishing no earlier than midnight)

About the role:

This is a physically demanding, fast-paced evening role where you will take the lead in unloading deliveries and overseeing the breakdown and distribution process. You’ll work alongside a small team, ensuring deliveries are handled efficiently, safely, and accurately so stock is ready for the store each day.

You’ll be responsible for leading the team on shift, maintaining workflow, and making decisions to keep operations running smoothly. This role requires someone confident, organised, and comfortable working independently in a hands-on environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise a small team, providing clear direction and maintaining productivity
• Safely operate forklifts to unload deliveries and move stock
• Oversee the breakdown of deliveries
• Monitor workflow to meet deadlines
• Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
• Support and motivate team members, leading by example
• Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the shift

Qualifications/Skills required:

• Solid forklift experience (current forklift licence preferred)
• Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting and repetitive tasks
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach
• Experience in a fast-paced warehousing, logistics, or retail environment preferred
• Leadership experience a plus
