Cash'nCarry Supervisor

About the role:

Trents Wholesale, part of Foodstuffs South Island, is looking for a hands-on Cash’n’Carry Supervisor to join our Invercargill team. You’ll lead and support a small team while working alongside them, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This role combines customer service, operational oversight, and stock management in a fast-paced wholesale environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coach a small team across checkout, customer service, and stock put-away.
• Ensure in-store pricing is accurate and merchandising is of an exemplary standard.
• Oversee customer service and resolve complaints effectively.
• Train staff on compliance, operational, and safety procedures.
• Support operational tasks including banking, administration, and warehouse duties when required.
• Collaborate with sales and purchasing teams to maintain stock levels and service standards.
• Ensure the checkout and store areas are clean, tidy, and safe.

Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm

About you:

• Proven experience supervising staff in a retail or wholesale environment.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to think on your feet.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and comfortable with regular lifting.
• Knowledge of Food Safety, Health & Safety, and operational compliance.
• Intermediate computer skills; experience with SAP or stock systems is desirable.
