About the Role

New World Gore is seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Manager to oversee the daily retail operations of the supermarket. This is a dynamic, hands-on role that requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Success in this role relies on the ability to work alongside your team to ensure an exceptional customer experience. Being actively involved in the store’s daily operations, whether it's assisting on the shop floor, supporting staff or ensuring displays and stock levels are maintained, is crucial. 

Key Responsibilities

• Support and collaborate with Department Managers to ensure smooth operations across the store.
• Provide leadership and motivation for staff.
• Instil and uphold the Gore New World culture, ensuring a positive and team-oriented environment.
• Ensure all Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations are met, maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
• Drive a strong customer service culture, ensuring the team delivers exceptional service at all times.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment where team members feel valued and engaged.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in grocery retail.
• Knowledge or skills in SAP for inventory and stock management.
• Forklift Qualification or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong understanding of stock management and merchandising.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations.
• Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work Sunday to Thursday, with flexibility as needed.
