About the role:

We are looking for either a Class 2 or Class 1 Delivery Driver to join the team, the purpose of this role is to complete safe, timely and effective movement and delivery of customer orders, and to consistently provide excellent customer service.

 

Hours of work: Tuesday to Saturday 6am – 2.30pm

 

Key Accountabilities:

    • Safely and effectively carry out all scheduled and short notice deliveries to Foodstuffs and Trents customers on time and within company guidelines
    • Ensure you operate within all legal/NZTA/NZ driving requirements at all times including all E-Road logbook entries
    • Ensure all E-Road pre-start inspections are carried out and report any issues/defects to your supervisor/manager
    • Safely load and unload vehicles in line with site operating procedures
    • Actively engage in the company Health & Safety programme and ensure all guidelines are consistently followed
    • Support the purpose, vision and values of FSSI

About you:

We’re looking for someone who has: 

    • Full, clean, current NZ driver's licence with all necessary classes/endorsements
    • Proven customer service experience and the ability to think on your feet to offer solutions
    • Good level of physical fitness and the ability to complete regular lifting up to 25 kgs
    • Proven communication and interpersonal skills
    • Forklift licence is desirable
