Late Shift Storeperson - Trents Dunedin
About us:
Trents are a significant player in the South Island foodservice and retail convenience markets. We have branches and teams across the South Island looking after regional and national customers. We pride ourselves on our wide range of quality products, great team, dynamic culture and commitment to excellent customer service.
We are part of Foodstuffs South Island, our 100% kiwi-owned and operated cooperative that supports the brands that we all know and love - PAK’nSAVE, New World, Four Square, Raeward Fresh and On the Spot - as well as our Trents customers.
Our purpose is to ‘bring more to the table’ and our success is down to our people who bring their skills, experience, passion and expertise to make Trents and Foodies an amazing and rewarding place to work.
About the role:
As a Trents Late Shift Storeperson, you will play an important role in getting orders out to our regional wholesale customers across Otago. Working out of our Dunedin warehouse, your day-to-day responsibilities include:
• Preparing and completing product orders (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
• Bulk repetitive picking - heavy lifting up to 25kg
• Operating machinery and electric pallet jacks to move stock
• Keeping you and your team safe by following our Health and Safety guidelines
• Reach daily targets and contribute to our purpose in "bringing more to the table"
We have a range of shifts we are looking to fill from Sunday-Friday 3:30pm - midnight - please share your preferred shift pattern in your application
About you:
As most of your shift will be spent on your feet and lifting heavy cartons, being physically fit and able to comfortably lift up-to 25kg is a requirement for this role. If that sounds like you, and you meet our other requirements below, we would love to hear from you:
• Punctual and reliable
• A good attitude, and a great team player!
• An understanding of workplace Health and Safety
• Able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
• A Forklift license or experience in a grocery or warehousing environment would be ideal but is not a deal breaker for us!
Why join us?
- Ongoing training and development
- An excellent work environment with a competitive remuneration package, including medical insurance (after a qualifying period)
- Discounted purchasing at Trents and other merchants
We are an alcohol and drug free workplace. Pre-employment checks include drug & alcohol testing and a health assessment.
