Delivery Supervisor - Trents Dunedin

About the role:
We are looking for a Delivery Supervisor to join the team based in Dunedin and support the Branch Manager in the day to day running of operation by maximising efficient planning, loading and delivery of orders. You will manage our delivery fleet and have oversight of our delivery team, ensuring our team are delivering high levels of customer service as well as ensuring we are meeting our regulatory compliance standards at all times.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure high levels of Health & Safety, Food Safety, and regulatory compliance standards at all times.
- Compile and review delivery routes and assign sufficient drivers to ensure service expectations are met.
- Resolve any delivery issues in a timely manner
- Induct and train new and existing team members and monitor driver performance to ensure they follow safe driving practices, complying with relevant laws and safety protocols
- Lead and oversee fleet servicing, maintenance, repairs, and compliance (audits and verification of expenses)
- Complete SAP BN4L administration in a timely manner
- Arrange for external freight providers to be engaged as required
- Conduct weekly toolbox meetings for driver team
- Provide and model excellent service to customers, going above and beyond to ensure our service levels are met and exceeded
About you:
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in supervising a team within warehousing/logistics or equivalent environment
- Experience with fleet management, monitoring and route planning
- Experience with SAP, SAP BN4L, Eroad and Microlise
- Good working knowledge of operational Health & Safety requirements
- Good working knowledge of appropriate NZ legislation and requirements (Employment, Land Transport Management, Food Safety, etc.)
- Highly effective time management and work organisation/prioritisation skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Customer service experience and the ability to think on your feet to offer solutions.
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills
- Food Safety Programme experience
- A Full, clean, current NZ driver's licence, Class 2 preferred
- Good level of physical fitness and the ability to complete regular lifting up to 25 kgs
