At New World Centre City, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer experiences –friendly faces, stocked shelves and of course, fresh! To continue to deliver, we’re now seeking talented and passionate individuals to join our Butchery team at one of New Zealand’s largest New Worlds!
About the role
As a Butcher/Knife Hand you’ll take pride in preparing and presenting a wide range of meat products with care, skill and consistency.
Key responsibilities:
- Producing a wide range of high quality, fresh meat products
- Maintaining high presentation standards
- Monitoring stock levels and supporting ordering processes
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment
Hours
This is a Full-Time role. New World Centre City operates between 07:30am – 10:00pm, 7 days a week. Our Butchery team operates between 04:00am – 8:30pm. The specific hours will be discussed at the interview stage and will include a weekend day.
What we are looking for:
- Proven Butchery experience, or relevant qualification
- A strong work ethic and passion for the Butchery trade
- Commitment to safety, teamwork and quality
- Physically fit and ready for the demands of a busy store environment
Desirable Qualifications / Certifications:
- NZ Food Hygiene Qualifications
- First Aid Certificate
