Baker

We are seeking qualified or experienced bakers who are positive, engaging and driven towards their craft. Our Bakers are key members of our bakery department acclaimed for its extensive range of high-quality, delicious and innovative bakery products. Playing a critical part in our competitive advantage, we aim to continue to deliver exceptional baked goods that keep our customers returning.

About the role 

This full-time role is perfect for qualified Bakers or experienced individuals eager to apply their skills. You'll be an integral part of our customer-focused team, contributing to the creation of high-quality baked goods that delight our shoppers daily. We aim to be at the cutting edge of Bakery innovation, developing and introducing new premium baked goods that our customers love.

Key responsibilities 

• Produce a wide range of high-quality baked goods, including breads, cakes, sweets, and pastries.
• Develop and introduce innovative baked goods to our Bakery offering.
• Mentor, coach and train our Apprentice Bakers, inspiring the next generation of Bakers.
• Maintain exceptional merchandising standards and provide the great customer service New World is renowned for.

Hours 

Full-time hours, specific hours to be discussed at the interview stage. New World Centre City Bakery operates from 03:00am – 10:00pm, 7 days a week, shift patterns to include a weekend day.

About you 

• Passionate about baking with relevant experience or qualifications (preferred but not essential)
• Hardworking, reliable and demonstrated ability to use initiative.
• Eager to contribute to the success of the team and the development in innovation.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the role.
