About the role:
As our Warehouse Operations Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management within the warehouse function. This is a newly created role reporting to our Branch Manager, as a strong people leader, you’ll be in your element coaching your team, and won’t shy away from providing constructive feedback as necessary. You’ll also ensure that your team follow our Health and Safety policies and comply with standard operating procedures.
This is an exciting time to join the Trents team as we move to our new site on Seymour Street. Our larger site will house our Sales, Customer Service, and Operational teams, all working together to deliver excellence to our network of national and regional customers across the Canterbury region.
About you:
You’ll be an experienced people leader – you might be in a similar role and looking for a change, or a Team Leader ready for that next step up. This is a key role, and we’ll need someone to hit the ground running. You’ll also:
- Bring experience leading a team in a transport, logistics, and or warehousing environment
- Be a strong people leader – you'll know how to create a positive team culture, and won’t shy away from the tough conversations
- Have a good tech ability
- Be big on Health & Safety and compliance
- Bring an understanding of the food service and wholesale industry would be ideal, but not a deal breaker – we can teach you what you don’t know!
