Transport South Island (TSI) Logistics Ltd was established as a subsidiary company of Foodstuffs South Island to control all transport activities. TSI Logistics is a fast-paced transport operation involving a large fleet of delivery vehicles and quality people, that are the driving force behind Foodstuffs South Island Supply Chain network.  

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Freight Coordinator to join our team, based at our Hornby Distribution Centre. This role will effectively coordinate all South Island inbound and outbound freight activity ensuring that it meets business expectations. The role will strive to maintain and optimise the order schedule and other TSI Logistics systems to ensure order are collected from our suppliers and delivered to our members on time.   

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with all stakeholders. 
  • Effectively coordinate all inbound and outbound freight and ensure service levels are met.
  • Manage all freight systems ensuring they are up to date. 
  • Review and report on transport KPI’s and monthly carrier reports and ensure corrective actions are in place.

About you:

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Problem solving skills and decision making – ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
