Supply Chain Packaging Advisor
About the role:
As our Packaging Advisor, you’ll ensure pallets, crates and packaging assets move effectively throughout our supply chain and support cost control initiatives across the network.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Business Services Manager, you'll work closely with our Distribution Centre, Transport, Retail, Wholesale and supplier partners to improve visibility, recovery and accountability.
You'll be part of a great team that enjoys a bit of banter while delivering great service across our supply chain, with a leader who'll support your development along the way.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify and Investigate discrepancies and resolve reconciliation issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor asset movements and account balances to ensure compliance with agreed processes.
- Coordinate packaging stocktakes across our Distribution Centre, Transport, Retail, and Wholesale operations.
- Manage packaging management systems and support the integrity of automated transactions.
- Prepare reporting that highlights account performance, discrepancies, asset losses, recovery opportunities and follow-up actions.
- Drive process improvements and promote more efficient ways of working.
About you:
You’ll come from a logistics, warehousing, supply chain or inventory management background, with experience tracking and reconciling assets and ensuring they are accurately accounted for. Ideally, you'll also bring:
- Experience working with operational systems, reporting and processes that support effective asset control and inventory accuracy.
- Strong reconciliation skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience analysing operational data and identifying meaningful trends.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and work effectively across multiple teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving operational issues.
- A continuous improvement mindset and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
