Supermarket Assistants – New World Wigram

 

Permanent Full-time & Part-time

 

Do you have an interest in food preparation or retailing?  Then we want to hear from you. 

 

We currently have full-time and part-time roles available in our busy supermarket.  Positions are available in Grocery & Chilled, Service Deli and Checkouts.  All roles include working either a Saturday or Sunday.

 

Specifically, we are looking for:

 

  • Grocery, Chilled/Frozen assistant – Sundays - Thursdays 6:30am – 3pm
  • Service Deli – part-time, days and hours to be discussed at interview.
  • Checkout staff – part-time, hours and days to be discussed at interview.  Applicants must have a General managers Certificate or the ability to gain one.

 

The responsibilities of these positions include:

 

  • maintain our high levels of product presentation
  • being able to work within a busy, fast-paced environment
  • ensuring stock levels are maintained 
  • adhering to food safety and health and safety procedures
  • delivering excellent customer service

 

Personal attributes required are:

  • a strong customer focus
  • an ability to work well within a team and independently.

 

These are physical jobs, involving lifting, and a good level of fitness is required.

 

Having a reliable means of transport is important as some of these roles include early starts.
