We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated foodie and energetic person to join our wonderful team at New World Ilam as our Deli & Café Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a large Deli & Cafe team who are passionate about producing high quality products and providing excellent customer service.
You could be an experienced Chef, Café or Service Deli Manager who is looking for a change or an experienced Deli Assistant with aspirations of leadership. Maybe you want your evenings back!

As an integral member of our team, you will have significant responsibility, and will need to possess the appropriate skills to lead the daily operations of this busy department in our store.
Responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring excellent customer service is delivered to our valued customers
- Managing, leading, organising and developing the potential of our Café & Service Deli team
- Food planning, preparation, production and presentation
- Meeting key KPI’s
- Inventory control and management
- Maintaining our high standards of Food Safety and Health & Safety
- Ordering stock and liaising with suppliers
- Ensuring highest standards of merchandising are achieved
To be a good fit for this role you will have:
- Above all a passionate Foodie!
- Proven leadership skills to lead a passionate and driven Café and Deli team
- Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of people
- High levels of integrity and honesty
- A background in food production and cooking, as we make an extensive range of in-house products.
- Competency using computer programs
- Fantastic organisational, presentation and planning skills
- Commitment to excellent customer service
Hours
This role is a fulltime permanent position of 40-45 hours. Days and hours will be discussed in the interview. It will include one weekend day.
