About the role:

As a Service Deli & Café Operations Manager, you’ll lead the development and execution of a world – class Service Deli and Café offer across our member stores. This is a operational leadership role, focused on delivering standout in-store offerings today while shaping the capability and opportunities for the future.

You’ll set the direction for range, merchandising and product development while ensuring strong operational discipline across food safety, supply and systems. With a hands on approach you’ll support stores to lift performance, solve problems and deliver consistently high standards for customers.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Set and evolve the strategic direction for Service Deli & Café the constant improvement of range, merchandising, and innovation.
  • Monitor retail practices and recommend improvements to drive performance, efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Ensure strong food safety compliance, system integrity, and supply continuity across the network.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships, ensuring Foodstuffs is a priority customer.

About you:

You’ll be a respected retail operator with deep Service Deli & Café experience and a passion for developing people and performance. Ideally you will also have:

  • Proven experience leading and developing high performing teams
  • Strong problem solving and decision making capability in fast paced retail environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • A continuous improvement mindset and confidence coaching and training others.
  • The ability to think strategically while staying connected to day to day retail realities
