SAP SuccessFactors ECP Specialist
About the role:
As part of the People Products Team within our SAP Centre of Excellence, you'll play a key role in ensuring our payroll technology solutions continue to evolve and support the needs of our business and our people.
You will act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP), translating business requirements into practical sustainable solutions, whether that be implementing a new allowance, supporting a legislative change, improving processes, or enhancing system functionality.
Think less payroll processing (we have an amazing payroll team doing that) and more behind the scenes technical expertise and system configuration so our payroll team can do their job accurately and efficiently. You’ll be comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions and digging into the root cause of issues to achieve the best outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain and enhance SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) to support business, payroll and legislative requirements.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand business needs, challenge requirements where appropriate and deliver practical, fit for purpose solutions.
- Assess and implement system enhancements, process improvements and changes that improve the overall payroll experience for the team and their customers.
- Investigate system issues, perform root cause analysis and deliver sustainable, long-term solutions.
- Create and maintain clear and accurate documentation including functional specifications, configuration records and process documentation.
- Support testing activities, including test planning, test case development, execution, defect management, and user acceptance testing.
- Work closely with payroll and broader technology teams to ensure system integrity, performance and effective integrations.
About you:
- Prove experience working with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) or similar payroll and people systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability and curiosity to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
- You're comfortable engaging with stakeholders, asking questions and constructively challenging requirements to achieve the best outcome.
- Experience translating business requirements into systems configurations, enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent documentation skills and a genuine pride in producing high quality, accurate work.
- An inquisitive, customer focused mindset with the ability to balance stakeholder needs, system capability and best practice.
What we offer:
- A flexible working approach based on trusting and empowering our people to manage their time and deliver results while balancing the needs of their personal lives
- Commitment to equitable outcomes, including additional paid parental leave, free period products and financial health checks to name a few
- Support for your wellbeing with Southern Cross health insurance for you and your family after a qualifying period, discounts at local gyms, access to online wellbeing tools, and a prayer and privacy room onsite
- Access to discounts, deals and everyday savings from a wide range of businesses and supplier partners, helping you and your whānau save on the things that matter most
- Continuous learning and professional growth, as well as access to our extensive online training library and endless opportunities
- We’re proud of our supportive team environment, and our positive and friendly culture that’s made fun by Furry Friend Fridays and monthly social events
- We’re a Pride Pledge organisation, and we are committed to an inclusive workplace where everyone thrives, every day and we celebrate our diversity as strength
- Our Papanui based office has free carparking, an in-house café
