Retail Fitout Manager
About the role:
As a Retail Fitout Manager, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of retail projects from early planning through to delivery. You’ll work directly with Store Owners and in-store teams – providing hands on support and coordination to ensure fit – outs, refurbishments and store projects run smoothly.
You’ll partner closely with Property, Retail Operations, Design & Delivery, IT and Supply Chain teams, managing quotes, timelines, budgets and risks.
This is an active role where you may be travelling to stores who are undertaking fitouts and refurbishment projects while working outside regular hours from time to time.
This is a fixed term 9 month role covering an internal secondment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage allocated retail fit-out and refurbishment projects from planning through to completion
- Build strong relationships with Store Owners, store teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Maintain Project Execution Plans, timelines, budgets and risk registers for assigned projects.
- Support store layout and operational planning in collaboration with design & delivery teams.
- Seek quotes for equipment and project work
About you:
You may be currently working within the retail and property space with an understanding of how large retail environments operate. Building trust and communicating clearly come naturally to you and you enjoy working alongside store teams and suppliers. Ideally you will also have:
- Experience delivery retail fit-out or refurbishment projects ideally within Foodstuffs or a retail / supermarket environment
- Strong project management skills with the ability to scope, time , cost and risk.
- A solid understanding of supermarket operations and how to minimise impact to customers and trading.
- The ability to break down scopes of work into clear, staged plans.
