Retail Assistant - Four Square Diamond Harbour

About the role 

We are offering an opportunity to someone with drive and enthusiasm to take on this role within our small, community focused supermarket operation.

This position is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, positive and self-starting team player who would enjoy the challenges of supermarket retailing.

You will be involved in the fill, presentation as well as sale of our products. 

Reporting directly to the Owner Operator, the successful applicant will be offered the support and training needed to thrive in this position.

Key responsibilities 

• Working closely with the Owner Operators and Store Manager
• Ensuring standards of merchandising and presentation are achieved and maintained
• Assisting with checkout and Lotto – Lotto certificate ideal, but training possible
• Responsible for the sale of liquor and tobacco
• Maintaining our Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards
• Ensure appropriate stock rotation and have a good eye for quality control.
• Be able to merchandise and present the produce department to a high standard.
• Assist in ensuring 100% price integrity in the store through maintenance & appropriate signage / pricing.

Hours 

This role will be a permanent part time role of up to 25 hours per week including one weekend day.

About you 

• A Duty Manager’s Certificate for the sale of liquor is essential for this role, however we are willing to put the successful applicant through this qualification therefore you must be aged 20+.
• Experience with SAP ordering system would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Be Reliable, Self-Motivated and trustworthy.
• Be Physically Fit as this role requires a lot of heavy lifting.
• Have excellent customer service and communication skills
