About the role:

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you’ll lead testing across multiple projects from design to deployment, ensuring our core platforms and enterprise systems are stable, reliable, and high-performing.

You’ll drive quality through strong and robust test planning, clear communication, and hands-on execution, including functional testing, UAT, and defect management.

This role also offers the opportunity to mentor junior team members, refine testing practices, and support continuous improvement across our frameworks.

The Salary range for this role is $90,116 to $108,000 per annum.  Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience. This is a permanent full-time role with expected working hours of 37.5 hours per week.

About you:

You’ll be a Christchurch based testing specialist with 12+ years' experience and a collaborative approach to operating.

You must have strong hands-on experience with SAP ERP, specifically in Transport Management (TM) and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). You’ll be skilled in both manual and automated testing, you’ll also bring Agile delivery experience with a proven track record of mentoring others. Ideally you’ll also have:

  • Experience conducting and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions
  • Knowledge of SAP systems and their real-world operational impacts
  • Automation testing experience in ERP environments within FMGC and Retail  industries              
  • Proficiency in JIRA and Zephyr Scale
  • Excellent documentation and interpretation skills, with a strong eye for detail
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to keep pace with new tools, platforms, and best practices
  • Proven ability to guide and mentor junior testers, supporting team growth and capability
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • ISTQB Foundation-level certification (required)
  • ISTQB Agile Tester and Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certifications advantageous
