Murdoch Manufacturing is a food and beverage manufacturing and packing business based in Christchurch, with a long history of producing a diverse range of products for the retail and food service markets nationally.

 

Our business is a subsidiary of Foodstuffs South Island, our 100% kiwi-owned and operated cooperative that supports the brands that we all know and love - PAK’nSAVE, New World, Four Square, Raeward Fresh, On the Spot and Trents Wholesale

 

We are looking for people to join our production operations team at Wigram to assist with our continued growth. Activities at this site covers both liquid and dry filling/packing across several lines and we are seeking people primarily within our Dry Packing operations.

 

Preferably you will have previous food production or packing experience, however we are keen to talk to those looking to apply their current skill set and develop themselves within our operations through appropriate training.
 

What would your day look like?

 

  • Feeding of raw materials onto the production line for packing through various machines into bags, pouches or pottles
  • Packing of finished product into cartons and palletising ready for movement to the warehouse
  • Learning the operation of packing machinery, with a training and development programme in place to support you
  • Cleandown and Setup of production line equipment as required for changeovers and operational start-up or completion.
  • Completion of essential production paperwork and quality processes to support the safe and effective production across the operations.

What are the hours?

 

Our Wigram operations run between 6am and 7pm Monday to Friday. We have vacancies on the following shifts:

 

  • Monday – Thursday 6am – 5pm (40 hours)
  • Monday -Thursday 7am -4pm & Friday 7am -1.30pm (40 hours)
  • Monday – Thursday 10am – 7pm & Friday 8am -2.30pm (40 Hours)
