Produce Supervisor – Full-time

We’re currently looking for a Produce Supervisor to join our team – someone who can help to lead and support our Produce department during the afternoons and evenings.

The days and hours for this position are: 

Sunday to Thursday 12:30pm-9pm

With Te Kaha Stadium and the Metro Sports Facility opening soon, we’re at the heart of Christchurch’s exciting renewal. Our Produce department is located in the entrance to our Fresh Food Court and showcases fresh, seasonal stock year-round.

Working alongside our Produce leadership team, you will help shape the department operations by delegating tasks, training staff and giving feedback to the team. This is a great opportunity to come and work in an industry with excellent job security and stability. 

Your day to day:

• Supporting the operations of the Produce department, including organising and delegating evening tasks
• Assisting and engaging with customers on the shop floor – ensuring they have an outstanding shopping experience with us
• Efficiently filling and merchandising produce while maintaining high quality standards
• Assisting with stocktakes
• Adhering to all food safety and health and safety standards

What we need from you:

• Relevant retail or leadership experience
• Outstanding people skills - you will spend a lot of your time interacting with your team and customers
• A great work ethic and willingness to learn new skills and processes
• The ability to self-manage, organise and prioritise your workload efficiently
• Good physical fitness for lifting and moving stock around
• Great presentation skills and attention to detail
