Produce Assistant Manager

 

We are a busy Christchurch supermarket looking for a motivated and friendly individual to join our fantastic Produce team as our Produce Assistant Manager.

 

This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about fresh food, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to take the next step in their career.

 

You will be supporting the Produce Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the department. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, organised, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.

 

The successful applicant will need to have knowledge of FMCG and the produce industry, preferably having worked in a supermarket environment and able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Good computer skills – ability to pick up programs with ease

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Assist in managing a team and developing effective rostering
  • Managing the daily ordering of stock and dealing with suppliers
  • Negotiating promotional activity 
  • Ability to achieve sales targets and meet profitability budgets.
  • Maintaining a high standard of merchandising.
  • Maintaining of our Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards.
