Produce Assistant Manager reports to the Produce Manager and assists with the day to day running of the department. 

Key responsibilities includes:

• Delivering excellent Customer Service
• Assisting the produce management team with day-to-day operations
• Assisting the produce manager with ordering when required.
• Taking sole charge of the department when required 
• Stocking cabinets and unloading deliveries
• Trimming and cutting fruit and vegetables
• Cleaning
• Ensure stock levels, quality, and freshness meet company standards.
• Following the correct Food Safety and Health & Safety policies
• Train and develop team members to maintain high performance.

Personal attributes required are:

• Previous experience in Produce department is essential. 
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work well with a team 
• Physical fitness for lifting heavy crates of up to 20kg on a daily basis
• Ability to multi-task and also complete tasks within the required timeframes
• Motivation to be trained in others aspects of the department 
• A positive work ethic and attitude
• Lead by example 
• Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.

This position is full-time and the days of work are Sunday to Thursday, 40 hours per week. Specific shift times will be discussed during the interview process.
