Produce Assistant Manager
New World Durham Street is Christchurch’s next-level supermarket experience and we are proudly locally owned and operated! We are looking for someone who is passionate about produce, motivated to help lead a team of awesome people and assist with the daily operations of our Produce department.
The days for this position are Sunday to Thursday with hours to be discussed at interview stage.

Our Produce department is a key area of our Fresh Foods Court, known for delivering the city’s best produce offering, providing friendly service and creating a memorable shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Produce Manager in daily operations, stock control, and team leadership
- Adhering to all food safety and health and safety standards
- Ensuring high standards of food preparation, food safety, and presentation
- Assisting in training and mentoring staff
- Helping maintain a strong customer-focused culture
- Assisting in ordering, stock rotation, and waste management
- Managing the department in the absence of the Produce Manager
