About the role:

As the Portfolio Investment & Planning Lead, you’ll support leaders across our Digital Services business unit tracking and optimising digital investment across the portfolio, ensuring every dollar spent delivers measurable value.  


You’ll take ownership of the quarterly planning cycle, manage technology investment pipelines as well as producing reporting and performance metrics helping drive smarter decisions. You’ll support Digital Service leaders with project governance, ensuring forecasted timelines are accurate, communication is clear and the correct tools and procedures are adhered to throughout.  

Reporting to the Head of National Digital & Planning, you’ll work closely with the Agile Delivery Lead playing a key role in keeping our digital portfolio running smoothly, efficiently and in line with FSSI priorities .  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support digital services leaders with planning, project management, budgeting and reporting 
  • Manage quarterly product planning cycle ensuring alignment across teams and digital leaders.  
  • Oversee digital investment, supporting business cases an ensuring alignment with Digital Services and FSSI strategy.  
  • Manage the scheduling, reporting and portfolio documentation to ensure visibility and accountability.  
  • Contribute to process improvement and digital performance initiatives that drive efficiency and value.  

About you:

You’ll have a background in project management, portfolio management and planning with an IT / Digital lens. You have the ability to balance structure and flexibility while bringing people, process and data together to make things happen. Ideally you will also have:

  • Strong Excel and reporting skills with experience managing budgets and schedules. 
  • The ability to work confidently with multiple stakeholders across business and technical teams. 
  • Familiarity with agile delivery methods
  • Communication and relationship building skills being the connector who helps align plans, people and priorities
  • Confidence to present new thoughts and process improvement ideas with the ability to handle challenges to these.
