About the role:

As our Platform Engineer SAP Basis, you’ll play a critical role in supporting and optimising Foodstuffs South Island’s SAP environments. Reporting to the SAP Platform Product Lead you’ll operate within a supportive team of four that values continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

You'll partner with internal teams and SAP vendors to manage system upgrades, resolve incidents, apply patches and security updates, and improve monitoring and system visibility. Your work will directly support the reliability, security, and performance of the systems that underpin our core business operations.

About you:

You'll be an experienced SAP Basis or Administrator looking to broaden your SAP experience in an environment where there is opportunities for continued learning and development. Ideally you will also have:  

  • At least 2 years SAP Basis and system administration experience
  • Knowledge of SAP BTP, SAP ABAP and Java systems across SAP products 
  • Ability and willingness to have involvement in test environments for projects across Foodstuffs South Island
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and resilience under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to all levels of understanding
  • A tertiary qualification in IT or related field
