As our Payroll Administrator, you’ll provide reliable administrative support to our Payroll Specialists, helping ensure accurate and timely weekly pay cycles for Foodstuffs South Island and our member stores. You’ll work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume payroll environment where accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail are critical.

 

The focus of the role is highly administrative, with responsibilities centred on data entry, document handling, and process support. The work is structured and repeatable, requiring someone who is comfortable following defined processes and meeting regular weekly deadlines.

 

You’ll join a close‑knit team of nine and report to the Payroll Manager. The team is professional, supportive, and collaborative, with a practical and down‑to‑earth culture.

About you:

You’ll be an experienced administrator who is comfortable working within defined processes and consistently deliver accurate, high-quality work. Dependable and detail-conscious, you’ll take ownership of your responsibilities and enjoy supporting a team committed to excellence. Ideally, you’ll also bring:

  • Experience in administration or data entry, ideally in a structured or high-volume setting
  • Accuracy, consistency, and a methodical approach to task management
  • Confidence working with systems and a fast, accurate typing style
  • A calm and steady approach – able to work to tight deadlines without compromising on quality
