About the role:
As the Merchandise Data Intelligence Analyst, you'll play a key role in helping the Merchandise Division stay informed, responsive and commercially focused.
Reporting to the Merchandise Data Intelligence Lead, you'll support buying, category and commercial teams with reporting and dashboards that help track performance across pricing, promotions and supplier partnerships.
You'll play a part in building the future of how information supports the team, helping identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and AI to support smarter ways of working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting tools that provide timely, accurate information.
- Extract, cleanse and prepare data using Excel, Power Query and other relevant platforms.
- Analyse results, identify trends and present findings in a clear and practical format.
- Maintain high standards of data quality, consistency and governance across reporting outputs.
- Simplify recurring tasks through automation and process enhancement initiatives.
About you:
You'll have experience in a Data Analyst, Sales Analyst, Category Analyst or similar role where reporting and analysis are a key part of your day-to-day. You'll take pride in producing high-quality work and have the confidence to question existing processes when you identify a better approach. Ideally, you’ll also bring:
- Capability across Excel, Power Query and Power BI.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information in a clear and practical way.
- A structured approach to managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Experience within FMCG, retail, merchandise, sales or other commercially focused environments.
- Exposure to SQL, VBA, Power Automate or similar tools would be advantageous.
