About the role:
As the Merchandise Coordinator you’ll be responsible for supporting the Merchandise Commercial team by coordinating internally, and with our suppliers externally on key forms of engagement, specifically Category reviews and supplier engagement through our joint business planning.
Reporting to the Head of Buying – Merchandise you’ll be the key point of contact for the coordination and scheduling of category reviews. Working in the Merchandise Commercial Team and with our Trading teams, you will produce, track and communicate category review timelines. You will also support the team by maintaining and updating appropriate documentation, managing the communications calendar for category reviews and the reporting calendar for the team.
About you:
You’ll have an ability to juggle multiple timelines and stay one step ahead with either a background or interest in the retail FMCG industry. Ideally you will also have:
- Experience in a Coordinator role is preferred but not essential for the right candidate with a great attitude and willingness to learn
- Organised and focused with a professional approach
- Personable with for excellent stakeholder relationship management
- Experience with MS Project, Planner or other similar project management software.
- Ability to plan and prioritise tasks within appropriate timeframes
- High level of accuracy, quality and attention to detail
- Highly developed written and oral communications skills
- Competent using MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in priorities or environment
