About the role:
As our Inventory Supervisor you’ll ensure the best practice for all inventory and inwards goods are followed. Reporting to our Branch Manger you’ll ensure deliveries from both the Foodstuffs Distribution Centre and from suppliers are receipted, all stock is correct and discrepancies are identified and reported. You’ll actively look for opportunities to improve site efficiencies and results in regard to services, cost and processes.
This is an exciting time to join the Trents team as we move to our new site on Seymour Street. Our larger site will house our Sales, Customer Service, and Operational teams, all working together to deliver excellence to our network of national and regional customers across the Canterbury region.
About you:
You might be a Inventory planner currently working in the distribution, warehousing, operational or food service or FMCG industries. We're a diverse bunch, so if you can bring some of the below, we'd love to hear from you!
- Bring experience leading people in a transport, logistics, and or warehousing environment
- Have a high-level of organisation and attention to detail
- Be comfortable working in a variable environment – as changes happen, you’ll have no trouble adapting as necessary
- Have the ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- An understanding of workplace Health and Safety
- Bring an understanding of the food service industry would be ideal, but not a deal breaker – we can teach you what you don’t know!
