IT Service Desk Analyst
About the Role:
We are seeking a self-motivated , enthusiastic and adaptable person to join our IT Service Desk Team. The role is based in our Digital Services team and will involve shift work on a 24/7 rotational basis (37.5 hours a week).
You will be part of a team providing monitoring, phone and other IT support for problems and requests that occur on our wide range of information systems.
This is a customer focused IT position. You will be comfortable learning new software applications and business processes. Training will be provided where necessary. Experience in supermarket operations is an advantage. The dynamics of the role suit someone that is well organised and enjoys a busy team environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for all IT incidents and service requests, delivery timely first and second level support across the co-op.
- Log, track and manage support tickets through to resolution, ensuring clear updates and high service standards
- Proactively monitor IT systems and environments to identify and escalate potential issues before they cause disruption.
- Communicate effectively with users about incident status, service requests, system changes and problem solutions
- Contribute to reducing call volumes and resolution times through continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
About you:
You’ll be a calm, customer focused problem solver who enjoys helping people and getting technology back on track. You bring solid IT experience along with the confidence to work independently and as part of a wider team. Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Strong working knowledge of Windows environments and general PC support
- Confidence using core business applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Teams.
- Experience in a call centre or high-volume support environments, with well-developed phone and questioning skills
- The ability to work independently in a remote or distributed support environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
