About the role:

As Head of Strategy, you’ll be championing, evolving, and shaping our strategic direction. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you’ll work closely with senior leaders to ensure our strategy is not only clear and compelling, but deeply embedded in how we think, plan, and make decisions. You’ll coach and influence across our cooperative, supporting leaders connect long-term ambition with operational reality, and enabling confident, aligned decision-making.

 

Key accountabilities:

  • Ability to make sense of the macro trends shaping society and business in a VUCA world, while delivering actionable insight
  • Lead the evolution of our organisational strategy, ensuring it reflects our ambition and drives impact
  • Shape strategic thinking across the senior leadership team, challenging assumptions and guiding priorities
  • Coach leaders and teams to build strategic capability and confidence
  • Drive a disciplined planning cycle that enables clarity, alignment, and delivery
  • Lead a high-performing team that brings energy, rigour, and clarity to our strategic agenda

About you:

You’ll be a strategic leader with deep experience in consulting or corporate strategy, ideally from large, complex organisations. You’ll lead with purpose and clarity, building trust across the cooperative and empowering your team to deliver.

 

Ideally, you’ll also bring:

  • A track record of shaping strategy at the highest levels and influencing senior decision-makers
  • Exceptional strategic storytelling able to distil complexity, shape thinking, and coach leaders through ambiguity
  • Deep experience in business planning and change leadership across complex environments
  • Strong commercial acumen, ideally supported by a relevant qualification in economics, finance, or a related field
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to turn vision into action
